DUCK
HISTORY
Coming to the JR's on the Bay,
featuring the
Sloppy Duck Saloon?
Think casual, casual, casual! The restaurant and bar is locally
owned and operated by Dave Litz, Jr. and his wife Kim. Jr's
on the Bay featuring the Sloppy Duck Saloon is Erie's summer
hot spot rain or shine all summer long. Located along the
Bay Front Highway, Jr's over looks Bay Harbor Marina and Presque
Isle Bay.
The
restaurant features four seperate dining atmosphers: The upstairs
dining area and outside deck (non-smoking) offers the quieter
side of dining with a spectacular view of our world famous
bay and sunset. If you're proposing to someone this is where
you should be.
The lower dining area inside the building is in the Sloppy
Duck Saloon, it's more like dining in a louder but yet fun
environment that over looks Bay Harbor Marina (smoking permitted).
If you're already married you're most likely camping out here
for happy hour, dinner or cocktails and appetizers.
The
1st floor deck overhangs the water, the atmosphere is semi-quiet
if you're looking not to be in the bar, but yet still would
like to hear the tunes that the bar offers (smoking permitted).
The
Tiki Bar is outdoors in the sun and is the center point of
our summer band season. Both drink and food menu items are
available during serving hours. The Tiki Bar area features
entertainment ranging from live bands to karaoke all summer
long. In the center of the out-door bar you will find our
world famous duckling exhibit and duck pond. All of the sloppy
ducks latest duckling remain here until they are adopted to
various campgrounds and private ponds. They are on display
11am till 10:30pm. From 10:30pm till 11:00am the next morning
they reside on Jr's office for alittle "R&R".
The
original sloppy ducks have grown out of he exhibit and now
reside year around at Kim & Jr's home and are occasionally
brought down to visit the old stomping grounds, so keep your
eyes open!
